I have been using III Sisters of Nature Curly Whip Pudding on damp, flatrolled hair and I love it! Nice set. Less shrinkage. It's now a staple product. And at just $12.99, it is much cheaper than $22+ Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding, and no strong, overbearing smell.
It tries to set itself apart, with natural ingredients and as a more natural, "cleaner" product, instead of the mineral oil and parabens used in Miss Jessie's.
III Sisters of Nature is based in Atlanta and, like a few other products I've seen recently, are giving expensive products a run for their money - literally. Their products are generally at least half off. They've got products that mimic Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding, Miss Jessie's Stretch Kreme and Kinky Kurly Curling Custard.

And, when you think about it, it was only a matter of time before cheaper competitors stake a claim in the natural hair market.
The pic below was on a particularly good hair day. Moisturizes my hair well and is a good alternative to gel. Definitely a keeper.
