Po'
Blue Ivy Carter.
Really, Jay and Bey's offspring can't catch a break. A day after withering online criticism about 106th & Park guest host Karreuche Tran dogging
Blue Ivy natural hair on TV, BET publicly apologized. Stephen G. Hill, BET's Vice President of Music Programming and Talent, apologized on Twitter in a series of four tweets to Jay and Bey, as well as Tran.
Tran made this comment about
Blue's fro:
"I really did wake up like this, because my parents never comb my
hair!”said Tran, one day after Blue stole the show -- and hearts -- while on stage with her uber famous parents and while dancing, singing and swaying to "Drunk in Love," and "Flawless" while Bey performed at the VMAs.
Her comments came a day after Beyonce's performance at MTV VMA Awards, and after Jay and Blue joined her on stage. Hill's tweets are below. But I'm not buying it. I have said countless times that a baby's hair should not be up for jokes or online criticism; it's taboo, or at least it should be.
On behalf of Bey and Jay, I do NOT accept BET's apology; writers should know better. Since when did a two-year-old's hair become the topic of pop culture discussion. Dang. Blue can't win for losing.
I'm throwing BET under the bus. And no, Tran, doesn't get a break just because she read the damn teleprompter. She is to blame as well. Always trying to be funny, when we are the ones who are getting laughed at. And it's not funny.
