How many of you remember this?
I combed my grandfather's hair, not my grandmother He'd come in from a long day working the line at Chrysler and I'd take his little pocket comb and comb his hair while he dozed off to sleep at the kitchen table.
I'd use the comb to scratch his scalp, too. Good memories.

Dress like Cookie from Empire
Love or hate the #1 hit show "Empire" on Fox, there's one thing we can agree on: Cookie, played by actress Taraji P. Henson, is sharper than a mofo!!!
Cookie makes fashionistas ooh and ahh every Wednesday night at 9 p.m when we see the character, played by actress Taraji P. Henson, burning up the screen in over-the-top fashions that mix street with haute couture.
BA-BY! She's SNATCHED to the Gawds!
Her luxe furs, fedoras, leather, love of animal print e-rry-thing and fashion sense despite her character fresh out the yard after a 17-year-bid is smooth and edgy -- just like her street savvy character on the show.
Cookie is a fashion force to be reckoned with
Clearly, we dare not cross Cookie in real life -- or in fashion. Because Cookie is a damn BOSS who is WERKING it! I've seen Cookie wear a a mix of fab fashions -- Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Valentino, Herve Leger and Diane Von Furstenberg, just to name a show.
The great thing is, though, that you can get many of her looks on a budget. I am a Cookie fan who likes anything animal print, anyway. And the show does make a statement our girls need to see: You don't have to have EVERYTHING hanging out to get attention. Less is more. And you can be glam while being a LADY in body conscious fashions.
Want to get your Cookie on? Shop your closet with these Cookie-inspired looks, some of which are excellent low-cost dupes and budget friendly.
