Would you get an armpit weave?

Listen. I generally support womens' ights to do what they want do with their bodies. Even if I would not do it or do not agree. You like it, I love it, your body. But armpit weaves and bedazzling and such is where I draw the line.

Wait. You ain't know? I did not get the memo, but apparently armpit hair extensions are a thing. Yes, a thing. And bedazzling them, apparently, is a thing, too.

Now snatching armpit hair is not my idea of fun. And why would anyone want to look like My Lil' Pony in their armpits is beyond me.

This is just too much. Last week, I heard about this trend of women NOT shaving their arms. And folks were all up in their feelings about it.
Now here y'all come looking like Rainbow Bright under the arms and you want me to agree to this mess? No ma'am and no sirs.

HairTroversy: Woman Dies After Getting Glue Weave Extensions

Is your hairstyle worth your life?

The family of 34-year-old Atasha Graham of London is asking that question after the woman died suddenly after getting glued-in weave extensions. She collapsed after returning home from a nightclub and died of a massive allergic reaction.

Though investigators have not yet conclusively said the glue is the culprit, the woman died from shock shortly after getting weave extensions glued in her her hair, according to the Daily Mail. Pathologist Dr. Michael Heath was quoted in the Daily Mail:

"I’ve seen cases where people using solvent to apply hair extensions has actually caused anaphylactic shock. 'There are about 10 to 20 deaths a year in this country, many more in America. I have seen four in the last three months."
That's 10 to 20 deaths too many. Graham wore glued-in weave extensions for more than 20 years, but never had a severe reaction. It's very possible, though, as anything applied to your scalp goes directly into your bloodstream.

This is a frightening reminder that the things we do to our hair --relaxers and hair dyes can cause severe allergic reactions -- can impact our health.

Have you ever had a severe allergic reaction to a hairstyle or hair care product?

Woman Gets MLK Weaved Onto Her Head

Source
Ummm.. I didn't exactly think there was a correlation between hair and Dr. Martin Luther King on this day of national observance, but apparently, this woman did.

She got an image of Dr. King weaved onto the back of her head, as seen on MediaTakeOut.com.

I had to look hard, but you can make out the image... kinda.

There are so many ways I could go with this, but do you think this is what Dr. King meant by "climbed the mountain top?" I don't even want to think of what Dr. King might think of this were he alive. And how much did she pay for this? Who has the time for this?

I think it's utter ratchedness, but if this is what it takes for HER to remember Dr. King, do you boo!

Not the look I'm going for, but as my grandmother would say, "If you like it, I love it!"

What do you think about this look? Good or bad?
