3 Ways to Jumpstart your Natural Hair Regimen for Fall

By Tenisha Mercer

There are only a few more days left until fall begins, so you know what time it is ... it's time for your natural hair regimen for fall. Now's the perfect time to overhaul your hair reggie, keeping what works and dumping what doesn't.

Here's how to get started:

1. Review the condition of your hair. Are your ends split, is your hair rough, dry and brittle or is your hair lush and shining? Your hair never lies, so the condition of it is going to be key to what type of regimen you'll do.

2. Delete, remix and add products. Now's the perfect time to edit, delete and re-add products to your regiment. Get rid of things that just aren't working anymore. And if you do decide to try something new, give it a few weeks and limit new products so that you'll know what's really working.

3. Review your reggie. Sometimes, we do things to our hair that we know aren't working, hoping that they'll work one day. Don't do it. If products just don't work anymore, get rid of them. If a styling choice no longer is effective, replace it. And that includes things like detangling, moisturizing, deep conditioning, trimming and general hair care.
