Healthy Eats: My Green Smoothie Challenge

Simple Green Smoothies launched a 30-day smoothie challenge earlier this month and, inspired by their efforts, I'm launching one of my own beginning today, Jan. 14.

I've been smoothieing (is that even a word?) for the past week and I love it. Love isn't strong enough; I'm addicted to it! It has totally cut down on my caffeine cravings (I usually drink a 12-ounce bottle of Pepsi on the weekends (my guilty pleasure). Didn't want one this weekend. It's even decreasing my cravings for sugar (I'm a sugar addict).

And did I mention the health benefits? It's a good way to get my green veggies in, and the smoothies are DELISH! Green smoothies have really transformed my life, and see my green smoothie recipe here.

I'll post about my progress as well as smoothie recipes.

  1. Wow I started juicing this past Sunday. I bought a Nutribullet and I'm really enjoying it. The first day was a little suspect though. I didn't have my right blend yet. But it got better everyday. Today was the best! I blended spinach, green apple, carrot and pear. It was so good. I wish you the best and much success in your healthy eating.
